Enid Lee will be a featured speaker at the CABE 2019 conference taking place March 20-23, 2019 in Long Beach, CA.

She will be presenting the workshop:

Making Equity Work in Schools for Multilingual Learners

Thursday, March 21, 3:30 PM-4:30 PM

If we are to create and maintain educational contexts in which multilingual learning can take place, our work must be guided by the principle and practice of equity.

In this interactive session we will use 2 equity-centered tools, Checking and Changing My Systems for Equity and Building A Hidden Assets Inventory for examining our systems of preparation, teaching, and reflection. We will learn to remove barriers to equality and build bridges for learning and growth.

Our discussions will include approaches for addressing equity on a school-wide basis and for finding time for equity work on a daily basis.
